Though that center has a much higher non-native English first language speaking population than the shopping centers on the other corners given the anchor stores are targeted at the (mostly) higher Asian population in much of Mira Mesa (nearly 50% there)
but on weekends, especially, it's also still very busy. The least busy would be the one most 'across' the street from her that has Daiso, HMart, In N Out, Applebees, Shell, etc. The shopping centers on the other 3 major corners (basically) basically nearby at Westview and Mira Mesa Blvd are also very busy - especially as the holiday weekend kicks off with deals, etc. There are a ton (ton is an understatement) of pretty similar looking buildings in the complex she was apparently staying in, so if she wandered out that would definitely possibly be confusing, especially if she has the start of Alzheimers/dementia, but it's also a very populated area and I can't imagine it'd be long before someone stumbled on her and could help her get back to the right unit if she were lost among the complex there. Sometimes it's a little iffier at night as there's some gang issues in parts of Mira Mesa, but definitely not nearly as much so where she was last seen. They even have a pastry shop inside and a mini restaurant and a makeup section.That's an INCREDIBLY populated and heavily traveled area, and still has a decent traffic flow even at night. You can definitely find all the ingredients you need here for your Asian dishes. Their meat department and seafood is very fresh and has great cuts although it can cost more for the better stuff. The store is clean, organized and spacious. Very good options for fish, meat etc as well.Ī large korean chain grocery store. They have good variety of them at a very competitive prices. Lots of mostly Asian foods and stuff, but some good deals. There's also a bakery inside as well as some other eateries. Many items are on sales and you can subscribe to their membership club for coupons for additional savings. Great place to shop for Korean food and vegetables. their prices were great and, the food is good quality. The hot food in the deli area is amazing. This place is great if you like Asian foods. Later I will post his unfriendly mugshot. He did not get a replacement nor did he ask another staff member to retrieve a replacement. The main korean man never smiles (he only smiles to the ladies), he threw one of my Mango boxes which crushed my crackers. This place has great selection of Asian food, fresh fruits and meats. Also has a Paris Baugette inside for bread and pastries. Lots of noodles, fresh meat (like bulgogi), and seafood (shrimp). Tend to have selections not found in other stores. Great place go find Asian groceries in Mira Mesa. They don't understand good customer service. One complained that I took too many samples. I went in w/o a cart just to sample and browse and several of these older ones began eye-balling me and following me around. The Korean ladies who work here barely speak English. Won't shop anywhere else for specialty items (like Sake, and fun treats). Good place to get bulk basics - rice, teas, flours, you name it.
Parking is easy access is simple.Īwesome selection. Service ranges from very friendly to downright hostile for non-koreans. The prices however are among the higher level for Asian markets in San Diego. This very large Korean market has an excellent selection of produce Seafood BBQ and other supplies. The other people who work there are not to friendly. Great seafood and the butcher are very respectful and nice, they will clean and cut your fish. However, when I was looking at the beauty section, I felt overly customer serviced, but perhaps that is how traditional Korean beauty shops are? The ladies were very nice but I had a hard time wanting to shop while being watched. It’s a clean Asian market and it’s not too crazy. I also love all the seafood and meat choices.

This place also has free samples at busy times. There is also a Paris Baguette, which is popular in Korea, for you to visit. It also has lots of delicious asian drinks for you to try. They also have a nice variety of fish balls that are great in hot pot. Especially the seafood, which has a nice variety such as salmon or sea bass. I always shop here and the foods are great.
